GENERAL SUMMARY

Functions as a member of the Patient Care Team, demonstrates knowledge of nursing theory and disease processes in order to provide professional nursing care to patients as appropriate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Graduate of Accredited LPN program

2. Knowledge of Infection Control Practices

3. Is cognizant of the physical and general characteristics of the various age groups as observed by the Nurse Manager or Physician

4. Computer literate.

B. Required Length and Type of Experience

1. One (1) year clinical experience preferred

C. Required Licensure, Certification or Registry

1. Current Florida Practical Nurse License

2. BLS Certification

3. ACLS preferred if working in Cardiology
